Imam Ali ibn Musa, al-Raza (as) has said:

When my father (Imam Musa ibn Jaffer (as)) entered the month of Muharram, he would not be seen smiling. Sadness would overwhelm him….

The day of Ashura was his day of tribulation, sadness and crying…
